High Temperature Aluminium Repair
MetLQ AL-1001 — Aluminium Casting Blowhole Repair & Filling Putty
Aluminium repair putty for casting repair, blowhole filling, porosity correction and precision rebuilding applications.
Aluminium casting blowhole repair putty designed for porosity correction, pinhole sealing, cavity rebuilding and worn-surface restoration work. MetLQ AL-1001 forms a strong and compact repair layer that bonds firmly to aluminium and metallic parts used in industrial maintenance and casting repair applications.
After curing, the repaired area becomes tough and metal-like and holds its shape even under heat and load. The surface can be filed, ground, drilled, tapped or machined as needed to match the part profile and prepare it for coating or assembly.
Key Features
- Strong adhesion on aluminium and metallic substrates
- Excellent blowhole and porosity correction behaviour
- Rigid repair layer suitable for machining and finishing
- Resistant to oil, moisture, vibration and plant atmosphere
- Temperature resistant — up to 250°C for typical industrial repair applications
Mixing and Application
- Mix the Base Component (Part-A) and Hardener (Part-B) in the correct proportion.
- Stir the material until the colour and texture become fully uniform.
- Apply the compound with firm pressure so that it properly fills cavities, blowholes and damaged areas.
- Keep the material slightly above the surface level to allow proper finishing after curing.
Curing and Finishing
After curing, excess material can be removed using emery paper, grinding or machining to achieve smooth surface alignment. Applying the compound slightly above the surface improves finishing accuracy and results in better application performance.Industrial Use
MetLQ AL-1001 is designed for real industrial repair work where strength, reliability and long-term performance are important. It works well in maintenance and production environments where components need accurate rebuilding and dependable aluminium repair solutions. If your application needs guidance, our technical team can review your working conditions and help you choose the right repair method and product usage.Technical Data — Application

Frequently Asked Questions
After full curing, the repaired surface becomes stable and metal-like. It can be machined, drilled, tapped and ground smoothly without chipping, allowing accurate finishing before coating or assembly.
Yes — it provides excellent wetting and cavity-filling behaviour, making it suitable for pinholes, micro-porosity, shrinkage blowholes and casting surface restoration.
Best results are achieved when the surface is roughened by sanding or grit blasting, followed by proper cleaning to remove oil, oxide and moisture before application.
Yes — powder coating can be applied after full curing. The repaired surface can safely withstand curing temperatures up to approximately 250°C under normal coating conditions.
