High Temperature Aluminium Repair Putty
MetLQ AL-1001 — Aluminium Casting Blowhole Repair & Filling Putty
Aluminium repair putty for casting repair, blowhole filling, porosity correction and precision rebuilding applications.
Aluminium casting blowhole repair putty used for porosity correction, pinhole sealing, cavity rebuilding and worn-surface restoration in aluminium components. MetLQ AL-1001 forms a dense and rigid repair layer with strong adhesion to aluminium substrates commonly used in casting and machining operations.
After full curing, the repaired area becomes hard and metal-like, allowing filing, grinding, drilling, tapping and machining to restore dimensional accuracy. The material maintains bond strength and shape under normal service heat and mechanical load, making it suitable for pre-coating and assembly preparation.
- Strong adhesion on aluminium and metallic substrates
- Effective blowhole, pinhole and porosity filling
- Rigid repair layer suitable for machining and finishing
- Resistant to oil, moisture, vibration and industrial atmosphere
- Temperature resistant up to 250°C under normal industrial conditions
Mixing and Application
- Mix Part-A Base and Part-B Hardener in the specified proportion
- Stir until colour and texture become fully uniform
- Apply with firm pressure to ensure complete cavity filling
- Keep material slightly above surface level for finishing
Curing and Finishing
After curing, excess material can be removed by sanding, grinding or machining to achieve accurate surface alignment. Applying the compound slightly above the surface level improves finishing control and repair accuracy.Typical Industrial Applications
- Aluminium casting repair and maintenance
- Blowholes, pinholes and shrinkage porosity
- Cavity rebuilding and surface restoration
- Machined aluminium components
- Pre-coating and assembly preparation
